Terms of Service

Nas Village ("Nas Village", "we", "us", "our") is a community platform that helps neighbours discover one another through shared hobbies, skills and local events. These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Nas Village, operated by Abdelrahman Aly, Damaschkeweg 1, 35039 Marburg, Germany. By creating an account, accessing or using the service, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Nas Village.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use any part of the service. By registering you represent and warrant that (a) you meet the age requirement, (b) you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, (c) you are not barred from using the service under the laws of Germany, the European Union or your country of residence, and (d) you have not previously been removed from Nas Village. We may refuse, suspend or terminate accounts that do not meet these requirements.

You are responsible for the information you provide during sign-up and for keeping it accurate. You must verify your email address before signing in. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for any activity carried out under your account. Notify us at support@nasvillage.com immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. One person, one account — multiple, automated, fake or impersonating accounts are not allowed.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use Nas Village for your own non-commercial use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Nas Village only works if everyone shows up like a good neighbour. You agree not to:

• harass, threaten, stalk, bully or intimidate other users;
• post or share content that is illegal, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent or that exploits minors;
• impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity, age, city or affiliation;
• collect, scrape or harvest information about other users without their consent;
• use the service for commercial solicitation, spam, multi-level marketing, recruitment or fundraising without our written permission;
• upload viruses, malware, or attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service or its infrastructure;
• circumvent reporting, blocking, rate-limiting or moderation systems;
• use the platform in any way that violates applicable laws, including data protection and consumer protection laws.

You retain ownership of the content you create on Nas Village — your profile fields, avatar, bio, skills, messages, events and posts ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant Nas Village a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, display and distribute it for the limited purpose of operating, providing and improving the service. This licence ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except where we must retain a copy to comply with legal obligations or to defend a claim. You represent and warrant that you own or have all necessary rights to Your Content and that it does not violate these Terms or third-party rights.

Events on Nas Village are organised and attended by users. Nas Village is not the host, organiser or chaperone of any meet-up. We do not perform background checks on organisers or attendees and we make no representations about the suitability, safety or conduct of any user. Use common sense: meet in public places, tell a friend where you are going, trust your instincts, and report concerning behaviour to us. You interact with other users at your own risk.

The service may link to, integrate with or rely on third-party services (for example map providers, email and push notification providers, app stores). Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.

Nas Village, its name, logos, brand, design, software and content (other than Your Content and other user content) are owned by Nas Village or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works of the service without our prior written consent.

We may review, moderate, remove or restrict access to content or accounts that, in our reasonable judgment, violate these Terms, the law, or the safety of the community. We may also suspend or terminate accounts at any time, with or without notice, where required by law, in response to abuse or fraud, or to protect users or the service.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting your account ends this agreement, removes your profile from the service and starts the deletion process described in our Privacy Policy. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law and dispute resolution) will continue to apply.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, to the maximum extent permitted by law, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that any interactions with other users will meet your expectations.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Nas Village and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the service. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) EUR 50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory German or EU consumer law, including liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nas Village and its operator from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to (a) Your Content, (b) your use of the service, (c) your breach of these Terms, or (d) your violation of any third-party right or applicable law.

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you also benefit from the mandatory provisions of consumer-protection law in your country of residence. The non-exclusive place of jurisdiction for any dispute is Marburg, Germany, to the extent permitted by law. The European Commission provides an online dispute-resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obliged and do not participate in dispute-resolution procedures before a consumer arbitration body.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you in the app or by email at least 14 days before it takes effect. Your continued use of the service after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the service and may delete your account.

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of that right. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent; we may assign them in connection with a corporate reorganisation, merger or sale of assets. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Nas Village regarding the service.
